Larry Abele founded Auriel Capital Management LLP in 2004 and serves since 2007 as CIO for Impact Cubed (formerly Auriel Equities). In 2007, Larry was also named one of the twenty “rising stars” in hedge funds by Institutional Investor Magazine. Prior to founding Auriel Capital in 2004, he was a Managing Director at Deutsche Asset Management where he pioneered a global macro investment program as head of Quantitative Strategies and the Portfolio Engineering Group. In April 2003, Larry also became responsible for quantitative US and European stock selection strategies. Prior to joining DeAM in 2000, he worked as a senior researcher for the Global Tactical Asset Allocation program at Barclays Global Investors. Larry started his career at Rob Arnott's First Quadrant working as a systematic global macro researcher and portfolio manager for currency overlay accounts after completing a MPhil at Cambridge University in 1996.
